Reflecting the Inside Out
The Light in the Dark

This project has come with many ups and downs. The first obstacle I crossed was finding people who were willingly to have their picture taken. But once that was down another obstacle came, coming up with different original ideas for each photo. At some times I felt very repetitious and uncreative. It helped stretch my abilities and help me overcome the bumps that came my way. Even when I felt like a hit a wall it caused me to think of new ideas and be more creative than I knew I could.

Hockney Project

This photo project was both a challenge and very helpful. It showed me a whole new method of taking photos and expanded my skill by having me do something I’ve never done before. That biggest challenge was probably cropping the photos to fit on to each other and taking them all at the same perspective so they work. I would have to make sure to take multiple photos incase one didn’t work out in the end because of lighting or angle. This assignment helped me become more prepared and ready to work around mistakes. At some moments this project would annoy me but in the end it was very helpful and I think made me a better photographer.

10 Poses

For this project I had to find 10 poses that were fitting for my subjects. With these pose ideas I had to be able to direct them so that they could model the poses accurately. The hardest part for me was being able to verbally describe what I wanted done and for the model to understand the instructions. Making sure the pose fitted each subject was hard too. For instance, making sure they had their hair down for poses that needed that.
